FRIDAY! Joel didn't make it to school today. Still had a fever and a nasty cough. Oh how I need to remember that we are ALL getting the flu shot next year!
My morning began by getting up, feeding the boys, getting dressed, and hearing the babysitter arrive so I could go to MOPS! I LEFT the house! Joel and Connor were happy to have someone new to watch them as well lol. My time at MOPS was wonderful. As someone said "you looked like you were skipping into here this morning!" Truth is, I probably did have a skip in my step...but being surrounded by other women who know what it is like to mother and have those days, or even those weeks, was refreshing. We had a great speaker talk about mothering and bringing our children to Jesus. I felt so much lighter in my heart and soul!
After MOPS I got a pedicure! Yes, I was pushing my time away from the boys to the limit, but I couldn't help it. I felt so FREE lol. I went home and we all had lunch and I dropped Nancy off at my dad's work....she works there in the afternoon. Connor took a nap in his crib, and Joel and I took a nap in my bed. It was so sweet to wake up and see him curled up in a ball with his little eyes closed. I am a blessed mommy for having made it through this week!
After naps, we picked up Nancy from her other job, drove thru McDonald's and I came home for about 3 seconds. I finally got to do a night out with a friend. David would be coming home to the boys in about 2 hours as well. My friend and I ate at a local burger joint and then went to see a movie. It was nice going to the movies with my movie buddy!
I came home and David was there! We were both so tired and he is still not feeling well. Off to bed we went and I am so thankful that my little family is all back together. Happy moment indeed!
