Busy Saturday but it was so great to get OUT OUT OUT of the house!
We started our day at Home Depot. We were told that they sell headboards for beds there....well no, they sell those online. I don't know, I have a real problem with buying something that I have never seen, touched, or tried out before. There is one place in town with headboards for about 1000 dollars, but at least I can SEE them in person! I am going to have to look into return policies for other places...because we want a headboard, but what if it is really ugly when it gets here?
Ok so no luck with headboard hunting, but we DID find a mandarine orange tree that we brought home and planted in a pot outside our door! I am so excited to get to have those oranges on a tree so I don't have to buy them in a store for the boys! This could be really fun!
We went to my dad's work where we were hosting a birthday party for a friend of the family. Joel got to attend the party and hang out with the birthday boy. We all got to eat lunch there as well...an unexpected surprise!
We came home and all took naps...again....naps were a MUST this past week for us all and I am so thankful that Joel was not BELOW taking one with the rest of us lol.
When we woke up, we headed down to San Clemente and ate at the "Appetizer" restaurant on the pier. Joel has been craving popcorn shrimp and they give you a pound basket of it there! We also got the biggest bucket of clams I have ever seen and sourdough bread and one bowl of clam chowder. We all shared and Connor learned that as well as shrimp and scallops, he is in LOVE with clams now! So proud of that boy! We sat out on the patio under head lamps and listened to the waves crash beneath us. It was a nice family dinner and nice to spend some much needed family time together. Well, thus ends our Saturday! Time for bed and looking forward to putting this week to bed as well! So glad it ended on a happy note. Hoping the computer gets fixed tomorrow so I can actually post this post! Night all!
