Day 202

Monday is here!  It is 9:41 PM and the countdown until surgery is on!  My surgery got pushed up to 7 AM so I will be going to the hospital by about 5:40 tomorrow morning.  SUCH a busy day today, and I didn't get everything done, and there is still some things to GET done, but I am here to write my happy moments and smile for a few moments about my day.

This morning was a mad dash out the door for Connor's speech therapy and Joel getting to school.  I am so happy that Connor likes Ovaltine and that Joel's breakfast took one push of a microwave button to make...it made them both happy and saved me time.  I even had 20 minutes to get a bath this morning...that was so nice!

After dropping Connor off at playgroup, I went and did my nails...they are now ready for my hospital visit!  I rushed over to a restaurant and picked up lunch for everyone and headed back, got Connor, got Joel, put Connor down for a nap, and ate lunch with Joel.  We even had cookies for dessert....that made him pretty happy!  Joel and I spent the next hour reading a bunch of books, snuggled up on the couch.  He is an AMAZING reader and he is doing a reading log each day.  We did an hour of reading today and I was so proud of him!

At 3:00 I was off to work, but I got done early because one of my clients was on vacation.  I came home and we had family dinner and then a beautiful Family Home Evening.  It was a special night and Joel and Connor were extra good tonight.  They sang the FHE song, listened intently to the lesson, and Joel participated and brought David to tears as he shared his love of Jesus and said "I KNOW that the Holy Spirit is around us...I KNOW it!" So sweet!

Our Home Teachers came over and, with the help of David, gave me a blessing to prepare me for tomorrow's surgery.  The blessing was beautiful and I was told I would heal quickly and my bones would heal based on my faithfulness.  I am going to try to do everything I can to help this bone heal this time!  I am so grateful for that beautiful blessing that I can hold onto as I go to the hospital in the morning.  I feel very calm and comforted tonight.  I am so thankful for all of the calls, emails, Facebook posts, and texts to me saying you are praying for me.  I am blessed to have so many voiced being raised up to God on my behalf.  I feel very loved and prayed for and I am grateful for that.  Well, off to finish up and head to bed!
