Day 204

I am home!  Today was a day of me mostly sleeping and trying to heal.  Walking is NOT my favorite thing to do and it is really really hard to do it as well.

I woke up this morning and my doctor came in and changed my bandages to water proof ones.  Now I can take a shower in the morning!  He also was very impressed and pleased that my hand and wrist did not get paralyzed this time!  He said that there was some tissue growing around the nerve this time creating a bit of a bubble, so that when he pushed it out of the way, it didn't get pulled or stretched....what a miracle!

I was on a lot of pain medication this morning, but I managed to Skype with my mother-in-law for a bit over breakfast...that was fun!  Then I took a morning nap, then my lunch came.  Then my friend Lauren came with her cutie pie kids that are about the same age as Joel and Connor.  We packed up my belongings and she gave me a ride home.  Her kids were super excited to eat at the hospital cafeteria...too cute to see what other people consider happy moments!  We made it home and I managed to make it upstairs (not sure when I will be going back DOWN the stairs...maybe next week sometime?)  I had so many lovely texts and phone calls and I did a lot more sleeping.  My visiting teacher, Kellie, brought me some pizza for dinner that I ate in bed...fun!  David took the boys to my parents house where they will stay until Friday.  I am just so grateful for all of the help I am receiving!  I am going to make my best effort to write thank you notes this time as well.    Well, off to get some more sleep!  It was such a great day again today having so many wonderful people check up on me and facebook, text, and call.  I can't say enough how good it is to not feel alone...I felt so lonely these past few weeks leading up to my surgery...it was really hard walking around with a broken arm and a broken heart.  Tonight I know my prayers about finding friends and being surrounded by precious people has been answered and I am so thankful for that.  Well, onto bed and more sleeping, but so happy I have been able to keep the blog up on my own this time! LOL and I think David is pretty happy he doesn't have to try to type as I talk either!
