BRRR...it is really cold! One week ago we were dining on a patio at a restaurant, and today my fingers are turning blue and we have the heater turned way way up! WOW! I am truly thankful for some major cold weather coming in, however. That means I can FINALLY wear my cute boots I have had shoved in the back of the closet just WAITING to come on out!
Today was rough. I started off my day with four 2 year olds for our weekly playgroup. Were it not for my fantastic nanny that I have had through most of my surgeries helping me out, I don't think I could have made it! She had the little girls in my group competing to get stories read, and I was able to take them all outside because it was 2 on 2...such a cute group of kids! I am so blessed to live in such a great place where my kids can make so many friends!
I didn't have to many clients at work today, so during an hour break, David brought the kids to our little park and we kicked around the soccer ball, played with our neighbors, and slid down the slide oh so many times! I have a toddler! Connor is bigger than our 3 year old neighbor! He is just so sweet and he is getting so good at climbing and MAN can he jump! I was so proud of Joel chasing and kicking the soccer ball. My two boys sure do have a lot of energy, but a whole lotta love as well.
Tonight we got the kids ready for bed, and I got to do it 50/50! It was so fun brushing Connor's teeth and reading Joel his library book from school. Then both boys piled into my lap and I read "Run Away Bunny" (a favorite in this house). The feeling of having my two little guys snuggled into my lap on a rocking chair was so nice! We said a prayer together and both of them gave me a kiss on the cheek. If that isn't one of life's greatest happy moments, I don't know what is! Then we put Connor to bed and got our usual, as of late, "BYE BYE!" not sure if he is getting that we don't actually GO anywhere lol. Hope all of you enjoy the weather and I am headed to bed a happy lady. Family time is the best!
