Weird weather we are having here! First, high clouds, then weird wind, tomorrow is supposed to be sunny instead of rainy now...I will SO take that (with Joel being out of school that means we can find some OUTDOOR activities to keep us busy!) Wonder what is next?
I had a much better day today. I think sometimes a little venting or complaining to friends is just what you need to feel better. Crying is also very helpful when you are at your breaking point. I am happy to say no tears today and I was also able to get a lot accomplished!
Connor and I visited the park today. I got to put him IN the swings and push him. It was so nice to hear him giggle and he had so much fun playing on the playground. It was funny that I was THE only mom there and everyone else was a nanny....made me feel good to be the mom there because usually it IS Connor and the nanny lol. We came home and had a fun time playing with all of his toy cars and garages. Boy toys versus girl toys...boy toys have more pieces and are smaller is what I have noticed. After playtime, Connor had speech therapy and he rocked it today! Then we did lunch with my mom, her best friend, and my dad at a restaurant in San Juan I never knew existed! It has only been there for about 50 years but it was new to me! SUCH amazing Mexican food and Connor was a little angel there too....probably a big part of my better attitude today was a good 2 yr old attitude as well!
Tonight, David worked late, so I had the boys doing relay races upstairs, running up and down the hallways, grabbing toys, getting tickled (pretty much anything I could think of to make them REALLY tired and ready for bed lol) It worked like a charm because when I went downstairs and told Connor it was time for bed, he gave me his little "alright", took my hand, and up we went! I read the kids stories and put Connor to bed first. No complaints from either kid and they are both sound asleep....happy mommy! Well, I am off to bed as well. Going to try to find lots of things to do tomorrow to keep my little guys busy! (Oh and did you notice who put the kids to bed 100% by herself? That's right! Feeling like a NORMAL mom tonight!) We have a certificate for a petting zoo, a couple of train rides, and a Thanksgiving craft I think I am going to cash in tomorrow for a couple hours of fun....I will keep you posted! For now, I am so happy to feel such peace tonight....you never know with me, could be the calm before the storm with the year not being over yet, but I will take the CALM when I can get it! Peaceful dreams all.
