There is this new TV show called Once Upon a Time. I love it! It is all about fairy tale creatures and the way the show was put together is so very clever. I have loved fairy tale stories for as long as I can remember. When I was a little girl, I can remember going to a video (that's those rectangular shaped things that went into a thing called a VCR for you youngins reading this) store and my Grandma Jo would let me go and pick out a "Fairy Tale Theater" video. I would eat those green, pink, or white mint chocolate sphere candy thingys and watch the show. I LOVED Sleeping Beauty the best because Christopher Reeves was the prince and I had the biggest crush on him as a kid (he WAS Superman playing the prince to me LOL).
I got to go to church today! I was able to stand up, not get the feeling like I wanted to pass out, AND lead the music! WOO HOO! I wish I could do all of this with my right hand since I USED to do all of this with my right hand/arm, but for now I will take what I can get! This whole experience truly has made me appreciate the little things. Oh what a happy moment it will be someday when I can wash my hair without contorting my body down and around my arm. How great and wonderful it will be to run and tickle my kids....can't catch them right now but someday I will!
There were lots of happy moments at church today. Like planning a lunch this week with one of my favorite eating buddies...if you don't have a friend who will take you on culinary adventures, I highly recommend you get one! Can't wait to see what country's dish we will eat Thursday! I was also able to talk to a lot of people I haven't seen in a while....or haven't seen since my last hospital visit LOL. The lessons were so wonderful today and it was so nice to be able to sing the hymns in church...my stomach hasn't let me sing in weeks AND my raspy cough from the anesthesia is finally gone too.
Tonight we got the kids ready for bed and Connor climbed up on my lap while I was laying in bed and asked for a song. We sang "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "Popcorn Popping" my kids are so cute when they sing that song and smell their little "apricot" popcorn balls :-) Joel loves his kiss and a song before bed...I ate up every minute of it! Before you know it, I will have teenage boys, and do you think they are going to want their mommy doing a kiss and song after they come in for curfew? Yeah, I didn't think so either lol.
Well, Once Upon a Time starts in just 10 minutes! Can't wait to see how they spin the Cinderella story tonight. I hope all of you have some fairy tales that put a smile on your face! Have a blessed Sunday all. Tomorrow begins the countdown for my arm...we shall see what happens one week from this week!
