Day 89

I am in awe that I have been doing this for almost 3 months straight now!  I will share more excitement tomorrow when it is really 3 months down, but wow, what am I going to do each evening when I am done doing the 365 day blog?  Guess I will answer that when I get there LOL

What a fun day today!  What a great day of learning, growing spiritually, and spending time with family.  Are there any other days better than having the combination of all that?  I think not....but that's just me :-)

I started off my morning by heading to Joel's school to do Parent/Teacher conference...my first one for Kindergarten!  It was really great to hear how well Joel is doing academically and socially!  I am grateful for the parental tools I have to help him, but I also owe such a thanks to the hard working Occupational Therapists who have worked so hard with Joel to get him to where he is.  The teacher gave him high marks on socialization and that meant the world to me!  I am so proud of that kid, and it was such a happy moment to get his report card and see a reflection of how GREAT he really is!

My next stop of the morning was off to my first MOPS meeting in quite a few years.  I used to go back when we lived up in the Northern part of our county, but I got pregnant with Connor almost right after we moved out here, and with my crazy schedule, I never seemed to be able to fit in going in the morning.  What a wonderful way to start the day!  We have a prayer group at our table, we had wonderful food, a beautiful message on marriage, "for better or for worse" by one of the MOPS mom's in-laws, and then we sat around and chatted for a while longer.  It was so nice to be with women of substance who lead Christ-centered lives.  I was put at the purple table (it was SO meant to be! LOL).  It was a great morning to sit back and enjoy the company of so many wonderful women...I am so happy to get to do that twice a month!

After lunch with the kids, we headed over to my dad's work to visit with my sister, her husband, and my niece who had stopped by for a visit.  They live about an hour away, so it is always nice when we get a chance to hang out face to face.  True, we talk practically every day via facebook and playing a game called Words With Friends online, but nothing like having so many in person happy moments!  It was so fun to watch the kids run around and play and giggle.  They wore themselves OUT today!  I am so thankful for happy family moments....treasure them people.

So there are my happy moments for the day!  Tomorrow is Saturday already?  Can this be correct?  Oh AND for Christmas, my in-laws bought us a Toshiba Tablet that arrived in the mail today!  Guess who is going to get to blog while away this weekend in San Diego??  So excited for that!  YEA for technology!  Have a happy Friday all, and enjoy those happy moments!
