Well, even though I end today knowing just barely more than I knew yesterday, I am still feeling like a weight has been lifted.
I started off my morning at the Mother's of Preschoolers group...MOPS. Such a great group, wonderful food, and a great project we did this morning! We made holiday cards that children can give their parents who are in the military. It was so fun to make each card, and I made a lot of cards hoping BOYS would pick them and give them to their moms. I made Mother's Day cards and I really hope some little boys are able to give their moms in the military a wonderful card! We heard a letter written by a mom in the military about leaving her little baby and getting called over seas. We all sat there with kleenex and quietly wiped our tears away as the lady's friend read her letter. Be ever so grateful for those members of the military who are parents :-)
After MOPS, I still hadn't heard from the doctor's office about my arm, and it was almost noon, and I had already called 6 times in the past 24 hours, so I drove on over and made it clear (KINDLY) that I would like to see the doctor. An hour later I was in! Face to face with him! He told me he didn't need to do more testing for now, but that we just need to schedule my surgery...and soon. Pray that I get to have it done before January please. First, and most importantly, so I can get back ON my medication that has worked SO well for me these past couple of years for my RA. Second, so we don't have to pay the 5000 (that's about what my first surgery was) dollar co-pay for a surgery in January. So yea for no more testing and getting the surgery done soon! Here is to it being my LAST, LAST LAAAAST surgery for a LONG LONG LOOOOONG time!
Tonight we finally all ate dinner together! It seems like it has been forever since we all sat down at OUR dinner table and ate a meal I cooked....although after cooking the meal I understand why...the recovery time from cooking was pretty extensive lol. It was so nice to share what we did today and get the kids to eat food NOT served from a restaurant or a box lol After dinner, we spent some time reading and snuggling. It was hectic, like any evening with a 2 year old and 5 year old is, but it was so nice to be together and feel love.
I am so happy tomorrow is Saturday! Happy moment for me realizing today is Friday! Tomorrow I don't have to rush and get Joel to school, we can eat breakfast at a snail's pace, and we can hang out until who knows when in our PJs! I am really looking forward to that! (ok David's company Christmas party is tomorrow so I am pretty sure at some point the PJs will have to go LOL) Good night all!
