Day 117

Friday night tonight.  We had a good day, and now it is time to blog and go to sleep!
  • I started off my morning by missing my Dr appt that I thought was at 10 am...turned out to be 8:15, but I got it moved to 3:30 and that worked out much better!
  • I went to my MOPS meeting this morning.  It is so nice to have some prayer time where we pray for one another, and listen to each other's highs and lows from the past couple of weeks.  We also got to say WHO we are praying for this week.  My friend asked me to pray for her mother.  She is going to have the teeth transplant done soon.  I know it can be painful since David's grandfather had it done recently.  So if you read this, please say a little prayer for her as well that she won't be in too much pain and that all will go well with the surgery.
  • The breakfast was wonderful at MOPS and our speaker was an amazing lady who performs all over the country in various Christian concerts.  Her life story was really inspiring and the songs she wrote were so sweet and tender.  All of us sat and listened to her sing as we dabbed our eyes and wiped away tears.  It was the perfect happy way of ending this week that has been so emotional on so many levels.  I hope to be even HALF as brave as that wonderful woman.  She read from scripture and talked of her trials, but I know each one of us ladies took something that we can apply to our lives.
  • I came home and picked Joel up from school.  We walked for a bit with his little friend and they had so much fun climbing up the hills by his school and doing pretend play.  It was a nice Mother/Son moment and we also got to come home and read the books his friends and teacher had given him as presents!
  • Well I didn't get done with the doctor until late, so I came home and we headed out to dinner at one of our favorite places.  The boys behaved SO well at the dinner table and we all had a fun evening of eating and sharing our favorite part of our day.  Joel's was making and eating a gingerbread house at school....that sounded like a lot of fun!  I think Connor's was going to the park with his babysitter, Nancy.  Mine was being with such amazing women and sharing our joys and sorrows of the month with one another.  David's was that he has now learned several Christmas songs on the piano!  Happy moments abounding!
Well, today is over and the weekend begins.  As does Joel's two week vacation, and my last couple of crazy, busy, days until my next surgery.  I hope to find some happy moments tomorrow and look forward to spending some time with family :-)
