Day 112

Feeling a lot better tonight! YEA!  This morning was a different story, but I gotta stay healthy so I can for sure do my surgery next week!  Down to just 9 days until then!  Hoping for the BEST outcome possible of that one...what a happy thought that is!

Today I woke up not feeling to grand.  I stayed at home, hung out with the kids, made some german chocolate bundt cakes for a birthday party celebration at my parent's house (most of it was done last night, just had to frost today).  All of that was pretty happy...I am happy I created a new kind of bundt cake and it did taste FABULOUS tonight so yea for new creations!

My little Aladdin went to the vet today....he ripped out a claw when we were fostering the lost doggy and it had since gotten infected.  So, he is a special kind of kitty.  When HE goes to the vet we have to 1) drug him up 2-3 hours before the visit, 2) call the vet to let them know he is coming in RIGHT THEN, 3) put him in a plexi-glass cage to gas him and knock him out or he has a complete panic attack and tries to MURDER the vet and any one else around him!  Some of you may have met this cat and know what a sweet heart he is.  I swear it is a Jekyl and Hyde scenario because this is just NOT the same cat when you get him to the vet!  One time he literally scratched his way out of a plastic neck cone and his nails were down to mere nubs...hence the gassing.  The good news is he got all of his vaccinations and check up done while he was out as well so the vet won't need to see him unless something ELSE happens to him.  Oh, and thank you Care Credit for your 6 months of interest free payments...I swear this is the most expensive adopted cat ever!

My little Al is asleep in my lap right now...he had a HARD day :-) We did dinner tonight and then the birthday party celebration to celebrate my brother's and niece's birthdays.  It was a fun time and happy moments being together with family!  Headed to bed and ready to begin another week of busy times.  It should be an amazingly fun week filled with happy moments and visits with friends...that is the best kind of week to have!
