Day 120

Well, this morning started off a bit hectic.  I didn't get breakfast until around 10...as usual, and so I stopped by Starbucks and grabbed a hot chocolate and pumpkin scone (only out this time of year and SO good!) Then it was off to my parent's house where the bus (from a limousine service) was waiting for us to drive up to Anaheim and pick up the rest of my family before we made the trek to Hollywood Hills.

We had a nice drive up to the cemetery and I was able to chat a lot with my cousin's wife who I have become really close to over the past few years.  She is an amazing photographer and I hope she got some good shots of the family today :-)

My uncle got up and said a few words which was lovely, and then I got up and told some memories about Grandma.  Then we all got a rose and placed them on her coffin.  It was a lovely time and a peaceful time to say our final farewell.  It was not at all sad...but a time to celebrate life.  We even saw my grandfather's vault as they lowered my grandmother's down in the ground...I remembered the day we last saw his on HIS funeral day.  They are together now.  Side by side in death and hand in hand in Heaven....all is as it should be.

After we took a few pictures with the cousins, we left and went to a family dinner at the place where we ate after my grandfather's funeral.  It was really nice and I was glad to get to chat with family I don't see that often.

I came home and we all said hello to one another.  Then David took the boys and put them down to bed and I went out with some friends for a Mom's night out and a bit of shopping at the mall.  It was nice to see my MOPS moms and get to talk to everyone before my surgery.  I have had so many wonderful e-mails and well wishes by dear friends and family this week.  I feel so abundantly blessed!  I am not so much nervous about tomorrow, but feel a sense of relief that my arm will more than likely begin a very REAL healing process and I can begin to move forward from this year!  I am so grateful for all of the happy moments of the day that I was able to share.  I am going to try to post one or two more pictures from today.  Hope they post alright!  Have a good night and I will have David post my happy moments from tomorrow when he gets home...I am one lucky gal!
