Day 107

Hello there!  Well, I finally got my LAST surgery of the year scheduled!  I sure hope this one is the one that heals my bone all the way!  I had a very nice day today and here are some of the moments that were my favorite and most happy!

I got to spend a lot of time with the kids today.  It is nice to have a job, but it is also really nice to be home and spend quality time with both kiddos.  I love making them laugh and we had fun watching TV, singing songs in the car, and talking about our favorite parts of the day.  Time is flying by TOO fast in my opinion, but I was happy to catch some really good moments of both children BEING really good today!

I went down and visited with Jazz (the horse that threw me) today.  He had been rolling in mud and he was covered in dirt!  He nuzzled into my arm...one of many of his apologies :-) I miss riding so much.  I know it is still going to take quite a long time for my arm to heal, but it was so fun watching other people get riding lessons today.  It was also really nice catching up with some of my friends I made down there who also ride.  I got to chat with Jazz's owner, her husband, another lady who broke HER humerus bone the same day and about the same time I did, and she sees the SAME doctor even!  It was nice to be reminded I had a whole life down there with a wonderful group of people...hopefully someday I can get back to that!

I finished writing my "12 Days of Medical Care" song today.  They say that laughter is the best medicine...ok I don't really know who THEY are, but I sure do agree with them.  Finding the joy in each day and using humor as my form of pain killer has been more helpful to me than anything!  I just happened to go tonight to a "12 Days of Christmas" activity for the ladies in church this evening as well.  I had a great time catching up with some people I don't get to talk with very often.  I am so lucky to be surrounded each day by such amazing women of God.  I know I have said that before, but it is so true!  I am blessed so much!  Ok so to end my blog tonight, I give you my song.  Now, I did this for me and David, and we both got a GREAT laugh out of it!  So if no one else thinks it is even remotely funny, well then I guess I married the right person because we both have a twisted sense of humor at times!  Just sing the song in your head like the 12 days of Christmas song and remember, these numbers are FAIRLY accurate...that's what makes it so funny!  :-) ENJOY!
