Day 123

Hello from the hospital!  My hand is still paralyzed, but we had a good laugh at watching me attempt to type today's (yesterday's) blog entry.  After a few minutes, we decided it would be best if David did the typing lol.  So here in bullet form are my happy moments from Day 123:
  • Since I slept about 20 of the 24 hours yesterday, pretty much my happy moment was when I got to eat food.  My dinner consisted of a stack of saltine crackers, ginger ale, and two lovely bowls of orange jello.  Oh how I love their orange jello!  I even thought yesterday as I was eating the orange jello, "Well, at least I got my happy moment for the day."
  • My other happy moment was getting to watch a movie that David uploaded on my phone.  Naturally, he chose one of the most chick flickiest of chick flicks.  And that pretty much is my day.
I am grateful for my Christmas miracle of being able to walk and not having bone grafted from my hip.  I am thankful for my health, my children, and the thought that I will be able to do more during Christmas than I thought I was going to be able to do.  I hope all of you cherish this time of year that you have with your families.  Happy moments are sure to be found in the unwrapping of presents, but more importantly in the giving of service to others, however small those services may be.
