- It is still pretty hard to type with these numb fingers, but they are getting a bit better each day! Today my thumb and fore finger are working pretty well!
- I got to go to Weight Watchers today and weigh in for the first time since after my gall bladder surgery. Our babysitter and friend Nancy took me all over town because I still can't drive because I'm still hopped up on pain meds. Not sure when that's going to end, since the slit does go from my shoulder to my elbow and it's pretty darn painful. After Weight Watchers, we stopped at a bagel store so we could get a bite to eat and then Nancy took me to my nail place where I got my nails done in a very sparkly gel for New Year's and my birthday yay.
- Later on today, my sister-in-law and niece came over for some play time. My little niece had a great time looking at the boys' race car track, playing with Connor's puzzle, and all three kids made some delicious pretend sandwiches.
- We went out for a night at my dad's work for his annual company Christmas party. There was a white elephant gift exchange, and that was really funny. It was also great because I got to see my aunt whom I haven't seen in a really long time. It was nice to be out with just me and David with the boys at home with a babysitter. The food was from an amazing BBQ place down in San Juan. The desserts were from Costco, yum. It was so much fun to talk to all of my dad's employees that I haven't seen in a while because of all my surgeries. Hopefully I will get to work at my dad's work again this year so I can go to the party next year!
I had to give up a third of the way through this blog and let David start typing. I am a sad, pathetic woman right now. At least I can get a good laugh out of how physically HANDicapped I am. Looking forward to another fun day tomorrow. Many more pain pills to be had as I see the doctor and get the bandages ripped off my skin. But then Pretend City. Too bad it can't be Pretend Doctor and Pretend Surgery lol.
